The Ministry of ICT and Innovation held a meeting dubbed “2017/18 Backward Looking Joint Sector Review” which brought together all Sector Working Group stakeholders to engage in policy dialogue and to ensure ownership, accountability and transparency of EDPRS 2 implementation and monitoring process.

Addressing to the participant, Ms Claudette Irere: The Ministry’s newly appointed Permanent Secretary commended them for participating and reminded them that the meeting is a good platform to share experiences, challenges  and ways to overcome them in sake of  elevating the Sector.

This was an opportunity for the participants to review the progress against implementation of recommendations from the last meetings, highlight priority areas for the 2019/20 fiscal year and get updates on the ongoing Key ICT Sector projects from the Partners.

During the meeting; the stakeholders were gathered into groups to discuss key priority projects that they think they should be taken into consideration for the upcoming fiscal year 2019-2020. All the recommendations match with the Ministry’s strategic orientations such as digital skills, innovation/business and access /connectivity.
