Cyber Stars initiative is built upon a competence-based model, where participants are scored against specific competences.

Around 150 contestants from 16 universities and high learning institutions are exposed to real activities related to cyber operations to develop their need of doing researches and practical hands on exercises to better respond to the cyber security need of Rwanda.

On 28 November 2019, the semi-finalists will be revealed to compete for finals on 17 December this year.

The winners in digital forensic, defending and attacking will be awarded with prizes and get an opportunity to compete with CyberStars from other East African countries.
