On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, we held a 2020/21 backward looking joint sector review meeting with our stakeholders to engage in policy dialogue and ensure ownership, accountability and transparency of national medium term development strategies’ implementation.
The meeting’s objectives include assessing progress in achieving sector objectives with focus on 2020/21 targets, presenting and discuss budget execution performance, highlighting priority areas for the 2022/23 fiscal year, reviewing progress against implementation of recommendations from the last JSR meetings and providing latest implementation status on SDGs indicators already monitored by sectors and highlighting plans for monitoring the additional SDG indicators applicable to Rwanda.
Delivering his opening remarks, PS Yves Iradukunda expressed his gratitude to leaders on the forum for the great collaboration amongst institutions within the ICT working group.
“We have a unique opportunity to come together as a sector to collaborate on key initiatives and projects that we have. This is an opportunity to take a step back and see if we have indeed achieved our plans and also to collect courses where possible.” Said PS Iradukunda.
Additionally, the PS also thanked different partners within the sector who have helped mitigate the impact of COVID19 especially fueling the innovation ecosystem to think and create solutions that have allowed the community to overcome the challenges caused by the pandemic.
